“Success Stories” is a series of publications about the people who shape the company through their expertise and decisions. The heroine of this article is Natallya Kostrova, Head of Enterprise Solutions, whose experience at SYSTEM TECHNOLOGIES began long before she took on a leadership role.
Natallya is a specialist for whom working at the company has become not only part of her professional journey, but also an opportunity to contribute to its overall development. In this interview, she shares her experience, talks about her approach to work, and explains what inspires her to move forward together with the team.
Natallya’s journey at SYSTEM TECHNOLOGIES began as a software engineer, at a time when the company had fewer than 50 employees. One of her first major projects was the development of a personalized accounting module within the accounting subsystem. Natalia combined the roles of business analyst, developer and support specialist. This experience gave her an in-depth understanding of both the technical side of the product and the real needs of clients.
As the company grew, so did the accounting solutions team. Natallya’s first career step was becoming Head of Department: in addition to development, she began mentoring new employees and organizing the team’s work. Over time, the team evolved into an independent business unit with strong domain expertise. The next stage was her role as Head of Department. The team expanded the capabilities of products for banks’ internal accounting and treasury operations and, since 2021, has been actively developing the BI Solutions analytics area. Today, around 50 specialists work under Natallya’s leadership. Many of them have such extensive knowledge of accounting that they can advise bank employees and serve as trusted experts for clients.
For Natallya, an important measure of success is client recommendations. When the company’s products are recommended to colleagues and new clients come through the positive experience of other banks, it confirms the quality of the solutions and the team’s professionalism.
The banking automation industry requires continuous development: legislation changes, new technologies emerge, and client needs evolve. With Natallya’s support, the team never stands still: it studies the market, generates ideas, expands product functionality and prepares new implementations.
In working with her team, Natallya particularly values a human-centered approach, trust and independence. Every employee has their own working style and strengths, and a leader’s task is to help them unlock their potential.
