The new area of personal data protection legislation has brought many new terms, concepts and requirements to life. What is it and why did the state begin to regulate this? It is often very difficult for an ordinary person to understand all the intricacies of legal acts. Almost everywhere you are asked to provide consent to the processing of personal data. People encounter personal data in their personal lives and at work. However, there is a lack of understanding, knowledge and experience in what to do with personal data, where are the boundaries of personal rights and where are the responsibilities.
On April 19, this topic was discussed in detail by Sergei Lychuk, Head of Data Protection Unit of the SYSTEM TECHNOLOGIES company, at the meeting “Personal data and their protection. New realities and application experience”. The event was held as part of the internal educational program STLab+ – training events for employees, where the speakers are the managers of our company.
At the meeting, our colleagues learned about new additions to the Personal Data Protection Law, basic principles on which the enforcement of legislation is based, and formed an understanding of how to behave correctly in various life situations related to personal data.
