Interview with the Head of “Agile Development”

news

A company is not only about work processes, but also about people who do their job. It is thanks to employees that new ideas and projects appear that influence the development of the company. That’s why we wanted to introduce you to our team.

We are launching a series of interviews with heads of SYSTEMS TECHNOLOGIES departments, in which you will be able to learn about the work responsibilities of colleagues, how they build their teams, and what lies behind their roles.

Today we would like to introduce you to Anna, the head of the “Agile Development” department.

– Anna, tell us about your path in the company.

Seven years ago, I realized that the time had come for major career changes, I was actively looking for new challenges and responded to a vacancy in a project manager company.

Later, I took the position of a resource manager and for the past six years I have been doing this with pleasure. The role of a resource manager allows me to optimize processes, allocate talents, and see projects come to life with the right resources.

Over the years, I’ve grown as a professional, learned to balance between operations and strategy, and the company has become a true home for me in a professional sense.

– What does your department do? What makes it special?

My department is responsible for the development and support of key digital products for legal entities – primarily online banking and mobile banking.

We create convenient, secure, and functional platforms that help business clients manage their finances: from payments and transfers to analytics and integration with corporate systems.

– What traditions exist in your team?

Our team has warm traditions that bring people together and make work more comfortable. We always try to celebrate important moments together.

On girls’ birthdays, we always bring flowers—it’s a sign of our care and attention, so each one feels important and special. Whenever possible, we celebrate birthdays in the office: gathering over tea and cake, wishing them success, and exchanging warm words—even during busy sprints.

We also give a gift for the birth of a child – something practical and cute for the baby and parents to support during this special period.

We hold team building events once or twice a year: trips to nature, workshops, or active games to recharge and get to know each other better outside of coding and deadlines.

These small traditions create a family atmosphere where it is pleasant to grow and work for years!

– What qualities do you especially value in your colleagues?

Proactivity – I love it when people don’t wait for tasks, but come up with ideas and solve problems in advance.

Responsibility – reliability in terms of deadlines and quality. It is important that everyone takes responsibility and follows through with everything they start.

Openness and sociability – the ability to share knowledge, give feedback, and debate constructively. Good communication speeds up everything exponentially.

Willingness to learn – everything changes quickly in IT, so I especially value colleagues who grow with projects and share new things.

These qualities help not only complete tasks, but also build a strong team where everyone contributes to the overall success.

– What are your top 3 favorite books that you would recommend for professional development?

”Principles” Ray Dalio – an honest manifesto from a successful investor about decision-making principles, learning from mistakes, and building strong teams. It helps systematize your approach to projects and navigate uncertainty at work.

”No B.S. Ruthless Management of People and Profits” Dan Kennedy – a practical guide to tough business rules from a marketing guru. It teaches how to set clear boundaries and focus on results, making it perfect for rebooting your approach to projects.

”The Black Swan: The Impact of the Highly Improbable” Nassim Nicholas Taleb – an analysis of randomness, risks, and hidden threats. It challenges you to rethink how to prepare for the unexpected in projects and your career.

– How do you usually relax and recharge your energy?

I recharge by relaxing and connecting with my loved ones, which helps me reset after a busy week. I enjoy places where I can disconnect from reality: listening to the waves, enjoying nature’s silence, and getting lost in a good book. These trips give me calm and a renewed outlook.

I have grown-up children, and spending time with them is incredibly meaningful and enjoyable. I realize there are only a few moments left when they are still close and still my kids.

For me, friends are like family. We have a big group — 18 people, plus everyone’s kids. We often get together for trips, picnics, or just cozy evenings, and it’s always a huge boost of joy.

Most importantly, I try to approach everything with optimism and a smile — it makes life easier, calmer, and more joyful!
